Josephine Naicker is a Global Citizen whose travels and work experiences have shaped her belief in Ubuntu, “I am because we are,” emphasizing collective humanity and shared responsibility. Guided by compassion and community, she promotes lifelong learning, innovation, and philanthropy.
She lectures on Data Analytics, Blockchain, and AI at the University of Lethbridge and co-founded CyberCloud-AI, an Indigenous-led AI, Cloud, and Cybersecurity company, ensuring Indigenous peoples are at the forefront of technological advancements.
A Certified Cloud Security Professional, Josephine leverages technology to solve real-world challenges. She co-developed the Certificate in Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK), the first global cloud auditing credential, earning recognition with the Alberta Newcomer Award.
She is also involved in drafting a Global AI Framework, ensuring AI governance, ethics, and risk management align with international standards. With extensive expertise in risk, audit, and forensics, she has worked across public and private sectors, including serving on the United Nations Board of Auditors.
Josephine serves as the Chair of the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS), supporting immigrant and refugee integration, and contributes to the Calgary Audit Committee. Her work reflects a commitment to nurturing future leaders and creating inclusive opportunities, always driven by her belief in the spirit of Ubuntu.
