Stephanie (Steph) graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2004 with a Bachelor of Management and started working with a national mid-size CPA firm in Central Alberta in 2004. She obtained her Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2009 and in October 2011 she transferred up to the Leduc office to continue with her career working with private enterprises including farms within the Leduc and surrounding area. Steph assisted her clients with personal and corporate taxes, preparation of financial statements, farm income programs such as AgriStability and AgriInvest, corporate tax re-organizations, data entry and tax questions, discussions with clients on major capital additions and tax planning.

Having grown up on a grain farm in northern Alberta she has always had a passion for working with agriculture clients and while not a farmer herself, she is still involved in the bookkeeping side of the family farm. After 18 years of working at the national mid-size accounting, business consulting and tax services CPA firm Stephanie joined the KBS team in August 2022 and is looking forward to the new adventure that lies ahead.

When not in the office she enjoys traveling, gardening, spending time with her nieces and nephews and trying out new recipes.

Dave started out in the office equipment field when the switch from the IBM Selectric typewriter to the desktop PC began. He quickly learned that to provide the best customer experience he had to teach clients how to use this new technology and began offering training as part of the package.

Dave obtained his Microsoft Certifications (Systems Engineer – MCSE and Trainer – MCT) to expand his knowledge and deliver recognized courses to the clients of his consulting business and expanded into Accounting systems with the Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation and certification from Sage, Intuit and others.

He currently resides, with his wife and two cats, beside a pond in farm country on the southern edge of St. John’s. An avid motorcyclist he enjoys exploring the roads and communities of rural Newfoundland.
