Winnipeg Walking Tour

Monday, September 9, 2024, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join CPB Canada member Bea Dabrowski for a walking tour of Winnipeg. This 6.5km walk (beginning and ending at the RBC Convention Centre) will take you to a number of important historic and cultural sites in the city. Lunch is included!

Visit the French quarter of Winnipeg and its old Europe vibe - discover the Métis roots of Manitoba. Walk along the Assiniboine River towards the Legislative building - stop by the house where the son of the first Prime Minister of Canada lived.

Breeze past many other important landmarks, such as:

  • Canadian Museum for Human Rights
  • Esplanade Louie Riel pedestrian bridge
  • Winnipeg's French Quarter: Saint-Boniface
  • Saint Boniface Cathedral
  • Gravesite of Manitoba founder: Louie Riel
  • Winnipeg sign at the Forks
  • The Forks Market
  • Historic Forks Port
  • River Walkway
  • Manitoba Legislative Building
  • The Dalnavert House

(NOTE: The walking tour will take you near or past these locations, but the group won't be entering them - you are welcome to go back and visit at a later time! We'll proceed rain-or-shine, so come prepared for the weather!)
